In announcing Street Fighter 6 Season Pass 2, Capcom revealed that Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury/The King of Fighters will be joining the roster over the next few months. But it looks like they might not be the only guest stars for the latest Street Fighter.
During an interview with IGN USA during EVO 2024, one of the producers of Street Fighter 6, Shuhei Matsumoto, hinted that Capcom has plans for the possible arrival of further guest characters in the future: the Japanese company would in fact have been very satisfied with the positive reaction of the public towards Terry and Mai, which is why it would be well disposed to continue with special appearances in Street Fighter 6 in the coming years.
Matsumoto specifies in any case that a lot will depend on the popularity that the two SNK fighters will achieve with the public once available, adding also that adapting guest characters to the style of Street Fighter is not at all simple, however the fact that Capcom has taken such an idea into consideration could be a good sign in view of future Seasons of the acclaimed fighting game.
In the meantime, remember that Terry Bogard will be coming to Street Fighter 6 this fall, although there is still no official date for his debut.
