Hollywood strategy game Hollywood Animal isn’t the only project Weappy Studio is preparing for release. The developers of This is the Police and Rebel Cops, with the support of publisher THQ Nordic presented The Eternal Life of Goldman.

The Eternal Life of Goldman is a bright and dark adventure platformer. According to the creators, the game is made in the classic stop-motion animation technique and “rebuilds the genre from scratch”.
The developers set out to make an “uncompromising 2D game of amazing beauty,” so they “took the hardest path possible”: they drew and animated every frame by hand (without using AI).
Players will take on the role of an elderly adventurer with a cane (which can be upgraded). The hero arrives at the Archipelago full of surprises to kill a mysterious Deity that no one has ever seen.
Weappy calls The Eternal Life of Goldman a challenging platformer that “never becomes a grueling exercise” and encourages exploration and a sense of discovery.
They promise a grand hand-drawn journey in which no two rooms or two similar landscapes are the same, a fairy tale with a double bottom and no backtracking. Support for the Russian language is declared.
The Eternal Life of Goldman is expected to be released in the unspecified future on PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch. Hollywood Animal, meanwhile, is still scheduled for 2024.
