The card minigame Queen’s Blood will return in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, producer Naoki Hamaguchi revealed during Otakon 2024, speaking during a livestream by streamer Neo Aoshi.
Hamaguchi confirmed that he is currently working on an improved and updated version of the Queen’s Blood minigame “for the next title,” a nod to Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3. Queen’s Blood continues the tradition of card-based Final Fantasy minigames following Final Fantasy IX’s Tetra Master and Final Fantasy VIII’s quicker Triple Triad.
The producer has repeatedly reiterated that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 will not be a copy and paste of Rebirth, and it has also been stated that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 will have a better ending than the original game.
At the moment the third part of the remake is still shrouded in mystery, FF7 Remake Part 3 will not be released any time soon, at least on paper: four years have passed between the first and second game, even if we were to assume a shorter development cycle (ideally two or three years) we will not see it before 2026 or 2027 and there are those who think it could come out (also) on PlayStation 6, but obviously this is just speculation.
