Capcom will be showing off new Monster Hunter Wilds content at Gamescom later this month. To prepare attendees for the event, the company has begun releasing trailers highlighting various mechanics and new additions.
Focus Mode is perhaps the biggest addition, allowing players to manually aim their attacks. Focus Mode also highlights new wounds on monsters, causing additional damage when hit.
Players can also perform Focus Strikes, which deal more damage to wounds. In other new features, Seikret serves as a mount that can also automatically lead you to a quest objective. Hook Slinger can throw projectiles at monsters to stun or blind them, and can quickly grab objects in the environment and tear down overhanging cliffs.
The game will also feature a new weapon swap feature, allowing players to take a second weapon with them on a hunt and switch to it on the Seikret without having to return to base.
Monster Hunter Wilds will be released in 2025 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
