The second season of “The Last of Us” has received a first teaser trailer. It includes familiar and new scenes as well as a distraught-looking Joel.
After the huge success of the first season of “The Last of Us”, HBO/Max is commissioning another season to continue the story of the underlying video game series by Naughty Dog.
After the first scenes from the set made headlines, the producers followed up with a teaser. It shows a 24-second compilation of dramatic experiences before the teaser ends with a few words from Joel, played by Pedro Pascal.
I saved her…
At the beginning of the teaser for “The Last of Us: Season 2,” the famous dance scene from “The Last of Us: Part 2” comes into focus. It is dedicated to the party in one of Jackson’s barns. The rest is made up of familiar and new scenes. Among other things, Ellie’s tattoo can be seen for the first time.
Also appearing are Kaitlyn Devers as Abby, Catherine O’Hara in the role of a currently unknown character, Jeffrey Wright in his role as Isaac and Isabela Merced as Dina. The video ends with the words: “I saved her”, while Joel is visibly struggling with the events.

Second season starts in 2025
It is not yet known exactly when the sequel to the TV series with Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey will premiere. HBO only points out that the start of “The Last of Us: Season 2” is planned for 2025. The first episode of “The Last of Us” was originally broadcast on January 15, 2023 – in this country one day later via Sky or its streaming label WOW.
Season 2 is dedicated to some of the events from “The Last of Us Part 2”. Showrunner Craig Mazin made it clear early on that more than just one more season would be necessary for the entire story. In addition to the events from the video game, which form the framework, new stories will be incorporated.
Mazin also recently emphasized that season 2 will be a bit shorter than the debut:
Anyone who can’t get enough of “The Last of Us” and wants to put Ellie in their own playroom will also find what they’re looking for. In July we reported on a bust that costs around 150 euros. PLAY3.DE has pictures and further information in this article.
