The Fairy Tail universe is now back on the radar of many anime fans, thanks to the release of the long-awaited sequel Fairy Tail: The 100-Year Quest. It’s no surprise, then, that games are starting to be released based on the franchise. Previously, the third-person action RPG FAIRY TAIL 2 was unveiled, a sequel to the game FAIRY TAIL, which was released in 2020. Now, publisher Kodansha has announced two more, but smaller, projects: FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS and FAIRY TAIL: Beach Volleyball Havoc.
FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS is a turn-based Roguelike in which the heroes of the popular anime Fairy Tail explore a mysterious dungeon. They use a limited number of moves and strategically build a deck of skill cards to destroy enemies and move on. In case of defeat, you start the passage again, but for the points earned you can buy amulets. The project has pixel art graphics and Celtic-style music created by Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta.
Fairy Tail: Beach Volleyball Havoc is an exciting game that will immerse you in the world of magic and beach volleyball. Players will take part in a beach volleyball tournament that takes place in the kingdom of Fiore. To win, it is important to coordinate your actions with your partner to deliver powerful magic blows to your opponents. There are 32 mages from different guilds, including Fairy Tail, Sabertooth Tiger, Lamia Scale, and Blue Pegasus. In addition to the single-player mode, the game also features a 2 vs 2 multiplayer mode.
FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS will be released on August 26, 2024, while Fairy Tail: Beach Volleyball Havoc will be released on September 16, 2024. Both games are being developed exclusively for PC.
