Activision provides insights into “Black Ops 6 Zombies”. In addition to a trailer, all kinds of background information about the characters and the plot was published.
After a series of leaks, official material for “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” was released in the evening. Activision has released a new trailer. It is dedicated to the zombie mode, which has been a basic feature in the “Black Ops” games for years.
Set over half a decade after the events of Call of Duty: Black Ops, Black Ops 6 Zombies continues the Dark Aether storyline, revealing the fates of key characters while giving players a deeper understanding of Richtofen’s motivations and goals.
Changes after five years in prison
In between the events, former Requiem employees, including Grigori Weaver, Mackenzie “Mac” Carver, Elizabeth Grey, Oskar Strauss, and Stoney Maddox (better known by his call sign Raptor One), were imprisoned in an outpost called Terminus, a mysterious garrison in the Philippine Sea.
After more than five years in prison, these characters have undergone significant mental and physical changes. Activision describes them as follows:
Grigori Weaver:
Familiar with the ever-changing nature of war and conflict. Feels guilt over perceived “failure” as a commander. Determined to uncover the intentions of his former director. Wants to fight corruption and end political games.
Elizabeth Grey:
Originally a naive scientist at Requiem. Now recognizes the threat of the Dark Aether and its controllers. Changed by the loss of Samantha Maxis and unjust imprisonment. Developed a tougher side thanks to Carver’s mentoring and training. Ready to face any threat head on.
Carver:
Lifelong faith in the military and his outstanding career is shaken. He is hurt, but not bitter. Commitment to friends and colleagues deepened. Convinced that together they can right the wrong.
Strauss:
Poorly coped with stress of detention and intense interrogation. Dependence on colleagues due to his age and eccentric personality. Support necessary for physical well-being and mental health.
Maya Aguinaldo and Dr. William Peck join
The situation takes a turn in “Black Ops 6 Zombies” when Maya Aguinaldo, a young Filipino smuggler, arrives on the island to pursue her own (and very personal) plans regarding her brother’s disappearance. What makes her particularly explosive for the team is the fact that she is accompanied by a familiar, but anything but welcome face.
“There are many curse words that could be used to describe Dr. William Peck, but even the most offensive ones would not do justice to his abomination in the eyes of our heroes,” Activision writes.
While Aguinaldo and Peck have come primarily to rescue the heroes, their arrival coincides with Terminus Island suddenly becoming the center of another outbreak, raising suspicions. More information on Black Ops 6 Zombies is expected to follow shortly.
