“Dead by Daylight” and “Five Nights at Freddy’s” are joining forces. A collaboration has been announced. But fans will have to wait a while for the result.
Fans of “Dead by Daylight” can look forward to new content that builds on a famous brand. “Five Nights at Freddy’s” is coming to the game thanks to a partnership, as Behaviour Interactive announced. The catch: players will have to wait quite a while before they can get started.
The announcement was made in a short tweet on the Dead by Daylight X account, in which a graphic mentions the game itself and “Five Nights at Freddy’s”. The release period is given as summer 2025, so the waiting time is about a year.
What does the collaboration with Five Nights at Freddy’s bring to the game?
It is unclear what content the planned package will contain. The scope has not yet been revealed. There was only a simple confirmation of the cooperation, which is celebrated with the following tweet.
It is therefore unclear whether players can expect a Freddy Fazbear Killer or whether only thematic cosmetics similar to “Attack on Titan” are planned.
Despite the lack of information about the pack itself, the announcement has caused quite a stir. “Dead by Daylight” fans have repeatedly mentioned “Five Nights at Freddy’s” as a preferred candidate for new content.
First, players can take part in a collaboration with “Castlevania”. The launch is imminent, as the following tweet makes clear:
Disappointment among Fortnite fans
The announcement also caught the attention of “Fortnite” fans. They are less enthusiastic, and the reason is simple: many had expected a partnership between “Five Nights at Freddy’s” and the Battle Royale blockbuster from Epic Games.
Back in June, FNAF developer ScottGames said, “Every day from August 1st to August 8th, we’ll be releasing something big” to celebrate the game’s 10th anniversary. The promotion coincides with the “Fortnite” update 30.40, which many thought would be a crossover. Instead, it’s happening with “Dead by Daylight.”
Fortnite leaker FNBRbuzz commented on the disappointment: “A huge missed opportunity with Fortnite, that’s all I’m going to say…”

There’s also a lot to do in the Epic Games shooter: The upcoming season is expected to go live on August 17, 2024 and will include Marvel themes. Chapter 6 is scheduled to follow in December 2024.
