Speaking with Gematsu, Goichi Suda was asked if there was a possibility of more games in the Shadows of the Damned franchise beyond Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered.
Grasshopper Manufacture founder and CEO Goichi Suda has revealed that Shadows of the Damned could get a sequel if the remastered version sells well.

Goichi Suda: Shadows of the Damned Could Get a Sequel If Remastered Version Sells Well
Speaking with Gematsu, Goichi Suda was asked if there was a possibility of more games in the Shadows of the Damned franchise beyond Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered.
“If the remaster sells well enough, and if it seems like enough people want it, then continuing the franchise would be something we would at least consider doing in the future,” Suda replied.
Suda was then asked about what the main idea of the sequel would be if it came true.
“There was actually a sort of ‘sequel’ included as part of No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again, where we used Eight Hearts/Johnson (who, again, appears in the current game with a new costume),” Suda revealed.
“One possibility for a new Shadows of the Damned game would be something like Eight Hearts going on a quest to help Garcia, as a continuation of the Travis Strikes Again storyline; or perhaps a prequel, depicting how Garcia came to be a demon hunter.”
On the other hand, Suda was asked about what games he would like to remaster if he didn’t get into intellectual property (IP) ownership issues.
“Flower, Sun, and Rain,” Suda replied. “It’s an old Grasshopper title and fans have been asking for it for a long time. We really want to remaster this one and put it on Steam, etc., to make sure it stays as part of the Grasshopper Manufacture catalogue. Also, maybe Michigan – maybe someday.”
Suda would also like to see someone else make a remaster of Road Rash: “I played it on the 3DO back in the day and I’ve heard talk of a possible remake but nothing seems to have happened. Hopefully EA will make one someday.”
“Also Burnout – the franchise ended with Burnout Paradise, which made me very sad. I hope that franchise will be renewed someday,” Suda concluded.
