In a message to the community, the developers at Dragami Games confirmed that “Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP” has been postponed again. This time, however, for the benefit of the waiting players.
With “Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP”, Dragami Games is currently creating a technically and gameplay-wise revised remaster of the 2012 action title.
As the Japanese studio announced in June, “Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP” was originally supposed to be released in a digital version on September 25, 2024. In a Message to the community The developers have now pointed out that interested players will be able to enjoy “Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP” a little earlier than planned.
The studio has brought forward the release in North America and Europe to September 12, 2024. However, this only applies to the download version. The retail release will be a little later.
No adjustments had to be made for the remaster
A few days ago, Dragami Games revealed an interesting detail about “Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP”. As the studio announced, the team responsible for the re-release of the action title did not have to make any adjustments to the content. This means that the remaster offers the same content as the original from 2012.
“We have received approval from almost all platforms on which Lollipop Chainsaw: RePOP will be released. This is very important to us, the original team. But there have been no requests for changes to the game content,” Dragami Games explained in a statement to the community.
Wishes for a PS4 version are heard
After part of the community campaigned for a PS4 version of the remaster, Dragami Games confirmed at the end of July that the studio had heard the players’ wishes. However, the studio did not give a specific date for the PS4 port and only pointed out that it would follow at a later date.
“Since the official announcement of RePOP, we have received many requests from players to release the game on PS4. We would like to accommodate players’ requests. Please wait for an announcement once the schedule is finalized,” game director Yoshimi Yasuda commented on the topic.
We’ll tell you here what gameplay improvements “Lollipop Chainsaw” will receive as part of the remaster.
