New year, new MotoGP. But probably the last time under the leadership of Climax – the two-wheeled criminals now belong to Disney Interactive. We don’t know whether it’s because of the farewell mood or whether there really isn’t much new to find in the biker world – but MotoGP ’07 shows the typical signs of a series production. In other words: you shouldn’t expect any radical changes to the predecessor. There is just a new World Championship course (Misano) joining the well-known range of tracks. Apart from that, the developers have mainly focused on the presentation: the visuals have actually improved and now finally do what we expected last year – slightly nicer textures and above all a frame rate that only rarely wobbles are finally contemporary and good to look at. In addition, the surroundings have been pimped up to make the presentation more attractive; for example, there are pit girls next to the drivers before the start, the spectator stands are full and the award ceremonies are more lively.
The demanding controls remained the same, and the extreme bikes even seemed a bit more sensitive this time. MotoGP ’07 is a great racing game, but it’s not necessary to buy it again.
