A fanmade remake of Need For Speed Most Wanted in Unreal Engine 5 has been in development for a while now, with the project’s creators continuing to make more and more progress. And to get a clear idea of the differences with the original work from 2005, you obviously can’t miss the video comparison.
The YouTube channel NostalgiaNexus shows us through an 8-minute video all the improvements and changes compared to Need For Speed Most Wanted, one of the most popular episodes of the Electronic Arts series that caused such a stir when it debuted on multiple platforms such as PS2, GameCube, Xbox and Xbox 360. The authors of the amateur remake are doing their best to do justice to the 2005 classic, and in the comparison video you can see all the progress made in terms of graphic detail, textures and light and shadow effects, in what really seems to all intents and purposes to be the new modernized version of a Racing Game that in its time was already at the forefront on the technical front.
It is still unclear when the amateur remake of this popular Need For Speed will become a reality, but fans will certainly continue to follow this project closely, which seems to be drawing new life from its treatment in Unreal Engine 5. As for the future of the brand, a new Need For Speed is in development at Criterion Studios, and we are just waiting for its official announcement.
