In April 2023, the game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released. The project was initially announced as a next-gen game, and it was released only on Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 5 and PC. Now, publisher Electronic Arts has announced the release of versions for Xbox One and Playstation 4.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be available on the previous generation of consoles on September 17. At the moment, the developers do not show how the action looks on the previous generation of consoles, but the announcement says that the Respawn studio has made “a number of optimizations” to offer the game using the maximum hardware capabilities of the Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles.
The Xbox One version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is now available for pre-order. The game is currently being offered for pre-order for $49.99 for the standard edition, while the Xbox Series X | S version was available for pre-order for $69.99.
Since Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for Xbox One is a standalone title, don’t expect it to be on Game Pass Ultimate (via EA Play) at launch. As a reminder, the Xbox Series X | S version is available via subscriptions starting in April 2024.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor received positive reviews from players and critics for its story and gameplay upon release, but was criticized for its technical state. The developers released several major updates that significantly improved the game’s performance on both consoles and PC.
