In the name of reaching a wider audience, video games inevitably have to consider the process of adapting to other media, especially films. With the development process now also actively involving the developer team, many projects that were considered “nightmares” in the past have ended up being successful over the past few years. It is no wonder that this situation has also encouraged more publishers and developers to start pushing their IPs in the same direction. One of them comes from an interactive horror game that has a large fan base – Until Dawn.
Entering one of the film adaptation initiatives from Playstation Studios, the film Until Dawna has finally officially entered the filming process. It will be directed by David F. Sandberg who previously handled the film Shazam! With other horror projects such as Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation. Peter Stormare is confirmed to return as Dr. Hill for this film adaptation, but not with the original actors/actresses from the video game version. It is not yet clear whether this film will also try to adapt the interactive concept of the video game version which is indeed one of the main identities.

There is no information about the release schedule for the Until Dawn film. As for the video game version itself, the original series is confirmed to be getting an Unreal Engine-based remaster which is also being prepared for PC this year. What do you think? Sounds like a horror film that will be a success in the market?
