It’s Tuesday, August 6, you just woke up and the first thing you want to do is play Fortnite? We’re sorry to interrupt your dreams of glory but unfortunately this morning the Fortnite servers are offline. Epic Games’ Battle Royale is down, here’s why.
Fortunately, there is no hacker attack in progress and there are no unexpected technical outages, however today is the day of maintenance of the Fortnite servers and this means that the infrastructure will go offline for a few hours to allow Epic Games to drop the new update v30.40.
Since 10:00 this morning Fortnite has been offline, as usual the matchmaking will be deactivated about half an hour earlier, from 09:30. The maintenance will last approximately a couple of hours and Fortnite should be back online between 12:00 and 13:00 Italian time, with a surprise: Fall Guys debuts today in Fortnite Chapter 5! The LEGO Fortnite mode will instead host the Battle Bus, so it will finally be possible to move quickly from one point to another on the map. A nice batch of new features for the number one Battle Royale in the world, which continues to offer new content on a regular basis.
Among the upcoming news there is also talk of the possible arrival of Trevor from GTA V in Fortnite but at the moment nothing has been confirmed.
