“Borderlands” is premiering this week. This is apparently having an impact on pre-orders of the disc version on Blu-ray and other media, as it was able to reach the top of the charts on Amazon long before its release.
“Borderlands” is coming to cinemas this week. From August 9, 2024, at least US fans will be able to experience how the iconic characters of the Take-Two and Gearbox franchise fare on the big screen. In Germany, cinemagoers will have to wait until August 22, 2024 and pay attention to the age rating.
Gamers and other interested parties who don’t want to see the film in a full cinema are served by the later streams or even opt for the disc version. And here the bestsellers in the “DVD & Blu-ray” category show that there are plenty of people willing to buy.
Borderlands movie takes first place
A look at Amazon’s sales charts reveals that “Borderlands” was able to work its way to the top. And that was before the film was released and long before the discs were delivered.
The Steelbook edition, which brings the film to the screen in 4k Ultra HD, is particularly popular. At 34.99 euros, we are, as usual, not dealing with a bargain. If you want to spend less, you can go for the other editions. The DVD entry-level version is available for 14.99 euros.
The editions are listed below*:
Please note that the Blu-rays and DVDs will not be delivered immediately after purchase. According to the product description, buyers will have to wait until December 6, 2024, which will give them a nice Christmas present.
First of all, it remains to be seen how “Borderlands” will be received by cinemagoers. A recent trailer gave a taste of what will happen, showing the actors Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart and Jack Black in their roles:
In “Borderlands,” the notorious bounty hunter Lillith, played by Cate Blanchett, returns to the planet Pandora to search for the missing daughter of the renowned weapons manufacturer Atlas. She meets Tiny Tina, Roland, Claptrap and Co. before a crazy adventure begins.
In Amazon’s “DVD & Blu-ray” charts, “Borderlands” topped upcoming and already available productions. The other places are currently following: “Prey”, “The Boy and the Heron”, “Arcane – League of Legends – Season 1”, “Dune: Part Two” and “Twisters”.
