Geoff Keighley has announced that Dune: Awakening gameplay will be shown at Opening Night Live, the live event that will also open the 2024 edition of Gamescom, which will be broadcast on August 20th starting at 8:00 PM CET.
Keighley hinted at an extended gameplay reveal for Funcom’s MMO, which as we know doesn’t have an official release date yet but may be closer to launch than we thought at this point.
Based on the narrative universe born with the novels by Frank Herbert in 1965 and adapted several times to cinema, currently the protagonist of a successful film trilogy directed by Denis Villeneuve, the game will take us to the desert lands of the planet Arrakis to give life to a new legend.
During the experience we will have the opportunity to meet numerous characters from the books but also new figures, while we will try to develop the skills and character of a protagonist created from scratch thanks to a powerful editor.
