Vivo has unveiled the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro smartphones, which stand out for their powerful electronics, Zeiss cameras, and the combination of a thin body and a high-capacity battery.
The Vivo V40 smartphone received an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, which is also equipped with its predecessor Vivo V30. In turn, the Vivo V40 Pro model is offered with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chip, which significantly exceeds the Dimensity 8200 processor in performance, which is available in the previous three models of the Vivo V Pro series. The RAM capacity is up to 12 GB, the flash memory capacity is up to 512 GB.
Each of the new products is equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 4500 cd / m2. A 50 MP camera with a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor is located in the hole at the top of the screen. The smartphones also have the same dimensions – 164.2 × 74.9 × 7.58 mm.
On the back of the Vivo V40 Pro is a 50MP camera with a Sony IMX921 sensor and OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens with a Sony IMX816 sensor, and a 50MP wide-angle lens. The Vivo V40 has a dual rear camera with a 50MP sensor with OIS and a 50MP wide-angle lens.
The smartphones are also equipped with 5500 mAh batteries, the largest in the Vivo V series. Both models support 80 W FlashCharge fast wired charging. The batteries are said to last 1600 full charge-discharge cycles, retaining at least 80% of their original capacity.
The smartphones run Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. The company promises to provide the devices with “50 months of uninterrupted operation,” referring to the duration of software support. Both models are available in Meteor Blue, Moonlight White, and Stellar Silver color options. The V40 smartphone, however, has two more color options — Nebula Purple and Sunglow Peach.
The Vivo V40 starts at $480, while the Vivo V40 Pro starts at $655.
