Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree increased Bandai Namco’s revenue by 56% year-on-year, according to the Japanese company’s latest fiscal quarterly financial report.
In the three-month period ended June 30, Bandai Namco saw net sales increase 24.8% to $1.9 billion, while profits reached $233 million, up 56.3%.
Shadow of the Erdtree’s contribution
The launch of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree on June 21st was a key contributor to these results, which include the expansion’s first nine days on sale.

Of course, it wasn’t all down to the expansion, but also to the effects it had in revitalizing sales of Elden Ring, which in fact returned to occupy the highest positions in the various charts in conjunction with the release of Shadow of the Erdtree.
An effect that Bandai Namco was counting on, as declared by the publisher itself, but which has nevertheless pushed the Japanese company to positively revise its estimates for the six-month period that will end on September 30.
Specifically, sales of $3.5 billion and profits of $273 million were expected, but the new forecasts speak of $3.7 billion and $410 million, respectively.
Interestingly, the estimates made for the entire fiscal year have not been changed, at least for now: perhaps a tweak will come later.
