Elite Dangerous has received the Type-8 update, which adds freighters, a host of engineering changes, and bug fixes.
The update includes some much-needed fixes and balance changes, but the big news is the new ships. The Lakon Type-8 transport has been added, and ads for the ship will appear on holoscreens around the world.
This is the largest medium-class ship available.
Along with the ships came another change. For Elite Dangerous Odyssey players, the Python MkII, which was originally released as a real-money-only ship, was included.
A number of changes and fixes have been made to the game, including some visual effects that weren’t working properly, orbital lines that were appearing blurry in some cases have been adjusted, crash issues have been fixed, and the fee for releasing pre-built ships from confiscation will now be calculated correctly.
