Representative of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, State Duma deputy Denis Parfenov reported that he sent a request to the head of Roskomnadzor Andrei Lipov with a request to do everything to ensure the operation of the YouTube video hosting service in our country.
The deputy is confident that slowing down and, especially, blocking the service does not in any way meet the interests of Russian citizens, and open voting on various resources shows that about 85% of respondents are against any restrictions on its operation.
“Slowing down or blocking the YouTube video hosting service primarily affects the interests of ordinary citizens who have a completely different range of interests (educational programs, travel, cooking, sports, etc.) and who do not visit channels that disseminate questionable information.”
Moreover, the deputy’s channel is also blocked on YouTube, so it makes no sense to consider him an interested party for the sake of selfish interests.
