It could be that we can look forward to the release of the PC version of “Final Fantasy XVI” very soon. At least a promising hint has now been spotted in this regard.
A profile for “Final Fantasy XVI” was spotted in the latest Nvidia driver. There is also talk of a demo in this context. Of course, nothing has been officially announced yet, but producer Naoki Yoshida said back in March that a PC version of “Final Fantasy XVI” was in the final stages of optimization. He also spoke of a demo in this context and stated that the release date was not very far in the future.
“Final Fantasy XVI” offers an epic dark fantasy story set in Valisthea – a land blessed by the light of the Mother Crystals, where the Rot threatens all realms and the peace between them. The fate of the world is decided by beasts called Espers and the Domini, individuals who can summon their power.
The story is told by Clive Rosfield, a warrior named the “First Shield of Rosaria” who swore to protect his brother Joshua, who is the Dominus of the Phoenix, the Esper of Fire. It is not long before Clive finds himself at the center of a tragedy and swears revenge on the Esper Ifrit, a being who leaves nothing but destruction in his wake.
“Final Fantasy XVI” will be available for PS5 from June 22, 2023.
