With the law signed by the Russian president, cryptocurrency mining becomes a legitimate activity in the country. New regulations will come into force on November 1. Information about the rules is published on the official website of legal documents.
According to the Interfax agency, mining is only available to organizations and individual entrepreneurs included in the register of the Ministry of Digital Development.
Citizens who mine cryptocurrency within the established electricity limits are exempt from this requirement, but are required to provide information on their income to the Federal Financial Monitoring Service. Advertising digital currencies is also prohibited.
