Microsoft usually warns about removing games from the Game Pass subscription 2 weeks in advance. But there are exceptions when it becomes known in advance. Most often, publishers announce this when they plan to remove their games from the store or close their servers.
Publisher Electronic Arts announced that the football simulator FIFA 23 will leave the EA Play subscription, and along with it, Game Pass Ultimate, on September 16. The project was previously removed from digital stores, and players cannot buy it. Thus, access to FIFA 23 will remain only for those users from September 16 who previously purchased the game in “digital” or bought it on disc.
With FIFA 23 removed from subscriptions, there are no plans to close the project’s servers. There is currently no information on how long the FIFA 23 servers will remain operational.
Let us recall that FIFA 23 is the last football simulator from Electronic Arts, which was released under this brand. New parts of the simulators are now being developed under the name EA Sports FC, and a few weeks ago the EA Sports FC 24 project joined EA Play and Game Pass Ultimate. And on September 27, the release of EA Sports FC 25 will take place.
