Before the release in mid-September, the system requirements for the PC version of God of War Ragnarök have now been determined.
As is well known, Sony is also bringing God of War Ragnarök to the PC. From September 19, 2024, the previously PlayStation-exclusive action hit will also be available for home computers, but of course you must have a sufficiently powerful computer. The configuration required for this has now been announced in preparation for the PC release.
In contrast to previous PC versions, including God of War, God of War Ragnarök will require more powerful systems. Compared to God of War, newer GPU and CPU models are required. The new minimum in terms of graphics cards is the NVIDIA GTX 1060 or AMD RX 5500 XT, and as far as the processor is concerned, an Intel i5 4670K or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 is required.
If you want to achieve a stable 60 fps at medium settings, you need an i5 8600 or Ryzen 5 3600 paired with an NVIDIA RTX 2060 Super or AMD RX 5700. This also requires 16 GB of RAM. The maximum number of frames per second is still open.
The PC port will otherwise support almost all modern upscaling and frame generation solutions, including NVIDIA DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1 or Intel Xess 1.3. You can see the complete system requirements in the graphic above.
Last but not least, a reminder: God of War Ragnarök also requires a PSN account to be connected on the PC. This requirement was also once planned for Helldivers 2, which led to a huge shitstorm. Accordingly, enthusiasm in this case is likely to be low.
