At the same time, the developers fixed several critical errors.
For the Java version of Minecraft, there is a update 1.21.1. Usually the game gets pretty big patches, but this time it’s different.
Update 1.21.1 fixes several critical vulnerabilities that attackers can use to crash multiplayer servers. The developers did not describe these vulnerabilities in detail.
Please note: Players running Minecraft 1.21 will be able to connect to servers updated to 1.21.1. The developers advise server owners to update to the new version as soon as possible.
The changelog also includes some unexpected innovations. Along with security fixes, update 1.21.1 added support for two languages to Minecraft:
Belarusian Latin alphabet. Tzotzil.
Tzotzil is a Mayan language spoken by the Bat People, a small indigenous people living in Mexico. It is possible that Tzotzil support was added to Minecraft because the people are keen to preserve their traditional culture.
