NIS America Trails Series – There are a lot of JRPG games listed today, ranging from Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Nier/Drakengard Series, and many more. Of course, there are also underrated JRPG games that are often missed by Gamers, one of which is Ys and Trails Series made by Falcom.
However, both games have a shortcoming that is often complained about by Gamers outside Japan, namely they need to wait a long time for the English version to be released by NIS America. In response to this, NIS America gave a statement that could be good news for fans.

Reported from PC Gamer in a Ys 10: Nordics Showcase that took place digitally, Alan Costa as a representative of NIS America was asked a question. The question was about whether fans could get the release of the new Ys game or the English version of the Trails Series sooner in the future.
Alan Costa went into detail about what they were working on internally, but he explained that his team was working hard to ensure Falcom games like Ys and Trails could be released sooner rather than later.
Trails Through Daybreak 2
He explained that one example of their hard work is the announcement of the game Trails Through Daybreak 2 which will be released next year. Costa also added that Ys 10: Nordics will also get the same treatment where his team has tried to get the game released in English faster than usual.
As a big fan of Trails, I feel that the release of this new game can be said to be faster than the previous games which could take a long time, around 2 years or more after the Japanese version was released.

Here is the official statement from Alan Costa regarding his team’s plans to release the English versions of Ys and Trails games earlier than usual:
I can’t say specifically what we’ve done internally, but I can say that we’ve been working hard to make sure that we localize Falcom games faster.
We recently announced that Trails Through Daybreak 2 will be released next year, which is substantially less time than we usually spend on Trails. And as you can guess, we are also working on Ys 10 at the same time.

Although the NIS America Team wants to release the games as soon as possible. However, they also have to make sure the quality of the English localization is also good. Therefore, they have to make sure to balance the projects they are working on in order to reduce the release time between the Japanese version and the American and European versions.
