New Nvidia app beta introduces advanced GPU control, video enhancement, and ChatRTX access, plus free one month of PC Game Pass
A major update has arrived for the NVIDIA App beta, the software that aims to centralize several of the company’s services, such as GeForce Experience, NVIDIA Control Panel and RTX Experience. The new version of the app introduces features that improve the gaming and content creation experience. The update adds display settings, RTX video enhancement controls and the ability to sort apps, as well as translations for users in other countries.
But let’s proceed in order.
GPU Control and Video Enhancement
The new NVIDIA app beta includes a “Display” section under the “System” tab, which lets you control the resolution, refresh rate, and orientation of connected monitors and TVs. More features like G-SYNC controls, surround options, custom resolutions, and multi-monitor support will be added in the future.
Additionally, a new “Video” section has been introduced that adds RTX Video Enhancements and customization sliders for RTX Video HDR. This technology instantly converts any SDR video to HDR using artificial intelligence, delivering more vibrant and dynamic colors.
RTX Video Super Resolution (VSR)
The NVIDIA app beta also introduces RTX Video Super Resolution (VSR), a technology that uses AI to improve streaming video by removing compression artifacts and increasing clarity during upscaling.
Nvidia then listened to user feedback and made improvements in several areas. It is now possible to alphabetically sort and filter the list of games and apps installed on the system. In addition, the app supports multiple languages, allowing users around the world to take full advantage of its features.
ChatRTX e GeForce Reward
The Nvidia beta app now lets you download and install ChatRTX, a demo app that lets you customize a connected large-scale model (LLM) for your content.
Additionally, app users have access to rewards like in-game content, exclusive GeForce NOW premium membership offers, and more. Simply launch the NVIDIA app and visit the “Redeem” tab to check out the latest rewards. The first reward is 1 month of free access to PC Game Pass, for new Xbox Game Pass members.
