Publisher Ubisoft, in collaboration with Ubisoft Montpellier, released in Steam Metroidvania Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, which debuted on other platforms in early 2024. A separate trailer was released to mark the release.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is available on Valve’s service along with previously released updates Warrior’s Path (for speedrun fans), Boss Attack (Boss Marathon mode) and Divine Trials (a set of new challenges). The project also received full Steam Deck support.
The Metroidvania tells the story of sword master Sargon, one of the bodyguards of the kidnapped Prince Hassan. Players are invited to visit a cursed world, breathing Persian legends and full of fantastic sights.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown currently sits at 85% (20 reviews). Early buyers are making fun of the fact that the game’s real release on PC is just now. “So glad this game is finally out,” Stampede noted.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was released on January 18 on PC (Ubisoft Connect, EGS), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, S and Nintendo Switch. The project was warmly received by the press, but its sales were not so good.
