Sony PlayStation and UEFA will continue to work together for at least another three years. The two parties have extended their cooperation until 2027.
PlayStation has been an official sponsor of the Champions League for many years.
The collaboration between Sony and the Champions League continues. The PlayStation brand is the official sponsor of the prestigious UEFA competition until 2027. This means that the 27-year-old cooperation has been extended for a further three years.
Only a few companies besides Sony act as main partners for the Champions League. These include:

Sony PlayStation is allowed to advertise both on site and on TV. Fan magnets such as gaming stations and competitions are also possible on match days. The PS5 logo can also be seen in the background of the mixed zone and at press conferences.
In addition to the CL, the advertising package includes the UEFA Super Cup, the Youth League and the Futsal Champions League. Sony also advertises women’s football, specifically the Women’s Champions League, the Women’s EURO 2025 and the European Youth Championships.
On to a new era of the Champions League
Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA Marketing Director, said of the renewal: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Sony as we enter a new era of the Champions League. SIE has been a sponsor since 1997 and this renewal underlines the ongoing commitment of both organisations to further enhance the fan experience and bring the excitement of the world’s most prestigious club competition to a global audience alike.”
Sony also had a few words to say. Jill Erb said: “For over 27 years, our work with UEFA has brought fans unforgettable football experiences. We are delighted to continue this partnership while also promoting women’s football through our ongoing work with the Women’s Champions League. Football is hugely popular in the PS community and we look forward to bringing the worlds of football and gaming even closer together.”

We have reported on other interesting campaigns and commercials in recent years. For example, the most famous PlayStation heroes appeared in a commercial. And four years ago, players were able to download a free Champions League theme for the PS4.
