The promise of new details coming soon on WolfEye’s next game has been kept by the software house founded by ex-members of Arkane studios by publishing the first, suggestive images of their next ‘retro sci-fi’ RPG in the footsteps of Prey and Dishonored.
The scenes immortalized in the splendid concept art by Raphael Colantonio portray a dystopian, steampunk-style setting reminiscent of Dishonored, complete with mighty cybernetic creatures and other retro-futuristic machinery.
By the WolfEye team’s own admission, their next video game will take on the shape of an interactive retro-ski experience filled with role-playing and immersive sim elements, with a strong propensity for exploration and an action streak fueled by particularly frenetic, immediate and at the same time technical clashes.
The project for this immersive first-person role-playing sim that promises to bring the co-creators of Prey and Dishonored back to their roots, among other things, will also include several members of the now-defunct Arkane Austin studios, who will join their former Arkane Lyon colleagues to shape a title destined to arrive on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S no earlier than the end of 2025. Over the course of the next year, the leaders of WolfEye plan to organize a closed-door Alpha testing phase.
