In mid-June, I was sitting in a pretty good seat in the Astor Film Lounge at the Arri in Munich. I was there to see about 20 minutes of the upcoming science fiction horror film “Alien: Romulus” – and later that day to have a short conversation with the director Fede Alvarez. A film that is supposed to give the “Alien” film series, which has recently stumbled somewhat, a kind of spiritual reboot.
