In the second quarter of the fiscal year, video game sales fell due to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Warner Bros. Discovery has presented its figures for its second fiscal year 2024.
In the gaming division, sales fell by 41% compared to the previous year. The company attributes the decline to a “weak performance” of the game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Last year, the company celebrated great success with Hogwarts Legacy.
Looking at the first half of the year (up to June 30), gaming revenues actually fell by 66%.
Total revenue in the gaming segment fell by 4% to $2.45 billion, while all segments (film, TV and studios) saw a decline of 6% to $9.71 billion.
