A monument to Tetris, created by Soviet programmer Alexey Pajitnov, will be erected in the Russian capital as part of the Video Game Hall of Fame project. This symbol of the gaming industry was chosen by voting. Participants in the Design Factory 3.0 competition are actively involved in creating the monument.
Since 1984, the puzzle game Tetris has been successfully adapted for all available platforms and downloaded over 100 million times. In 1993, this gaming hit became the first game to be launched in space. And not long ago, Tetris was recognized as a work of art, as evidenced by the fact that a copy of this game is kept in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
