After many decades, the copyrights of popular Disney characters such as Winnie the Pooh are available for free adaptation by other creative minds. It didn’t take long before the popular and sweet heroes of childhood were cast in a completely different light and began to slash and tear their way through humanity in the best horror style.
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey already showed what can happen when the former Disney heroes are forgotten. Despite the fact that the horror film with the no longer so cuddly bear did not fare well with critics, the film grossed over 1.76 million US dollars worldwide and even got a sequel this year in which other inhabitants of the Hundred Acre Wood take revenge on humanity.
New horror film with famous Disney character in the works
After both Winnie the Pooh adaptations by the British studio Jagged Edge Productions were a financial success, the authors are already working on the next bloody story of a well-known Disney character. This time, Bambi is shown in a new, bloody light and makes the forest in which he lives unsafe.
In “Bambi: The Reckoning,” the once sweet fawn became a bloodthirsty killing machine after the death of its mother. On its bloody path of revenge, the deer shows no mercy and makes every hunter pay dearly for the loss of its mother.

When is the Bambi horror movie coming out?
The authors haven’t revealed much about the plot of the upcoming horror Bambi, but the title alone suggests that viewers can look forward to a bloody campaign of revenge. Scott Jeffrey of Jagged Edge Productions explained to Dread Central that their version of Bambi was heavily inspired by the design of the Netflix film “The Ritual.” Anyone who knows the film knows that the new Bambi design could be quite traumatic.
