Good Fun Corporation has announced Hunger, a new game that mixes action, horror, and RPG. The developers are going to take us to a dark version of Europe in the early 19th century, where a deadly plague is raging.
In this twisted world, dubbed “The World After the End” by the locals, an epidemic has wiped out almost the entire population. A handful of survivors have taken refuge in the Chateau, but their thirst for life drives them beyond the fortress walls in search of resources.
The game is built around PvPvE gameplay, seasoned with a fair amount of tension. Players will not only have to fight each other, but also fight off the maddened victims of the plague. For this, the game offers a whole arsenal of weapons of that era. Muskets, pistols and grenades will help keep enemies at a distance. But when the gunpowder runs out, axes, maces and shields will come into play – they are indispensable in close combat.
However, you can’t live on weapons alone. The developers promise to pay special attention to the character development system. Players will be able to choose from hundreds of unique talents, adjusting the heroes to their play style. Do you want to become an inconspicuous loner, silently sneaking into any crack? Or maybe you prefer the role of a jack of all trades, repairing the armor of your comrades in the middle of battle? In Hunger, it seems, there is a place for any tactic.
Hunger will be coming to PC in early access via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The developers are keeping the release date a secret for now.
