Want to take advantage of the summer holidays to catch up on the Assassin’s Creed series in preparation for the launch of Shadows? A good solution could be to take advantage of the PlayStation Plus or Game Pass subscriptions, both of which include several games from the series. Let’s find out together which ones are included.
Which Assassin’s Creed games are on PlayStation Plus?
Of the two subscriptions considered, as of August 7, 2024, PlayStation Plus Extra is certainly the best for recovering the Assassin’s Creed saga, since it includes all the episodes except the first Assassin’s Creed and the more recent Mirage.
Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection (PS4)
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered (PS4)
Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag (PS4)
Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry (PS4)
Assassin’s Creed Unity (PS4)
Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered (PS4)
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate (PS4)
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China (PS4)
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India (PS4)
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia (PS4)
Assassin’s Creed Origins (PS4 e PS5)
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (PS4 e PS5)
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (PS4 e PS5)
A few side notes. The Ezio Collection includes the remastered versions of Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations. Even if you don’t see it on the list, Assassin’s Creed 3 Liberation is included in Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered. All PlayStation 4 games are obviously backwards compatible on PlayStation 5. The only native PS5 episode is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, while Origins and Odyssey take advantage of the console’s hardware to run at 60fps thanks to an ad-hoc patch. PlayStation Plus Extra costs 13.99 euros per month, 29.99 euros per quarter, or 125.99 euros per year.
Which Assassin’s Creed games are on Game Pass?
Much more limited is the current Game Pass offer, which at least allows you to recover the entire RPG course of the series that began with Origins and is destined to continue with Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Another added value is given by the possibility of enjoying the included games also on other platforms such as PC and Cloud, provided you are subscribed to the appropriate tiers.
Assassin’s Creed Origins (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC e Cloud)
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC e Cloud)
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC e Cloud)
There are some important side notes here too. First of all, the same thing applies to Origins and Odyssey as for PlayStation: they are not native to Xbox Series X and Series S like Valhalla, but on the two current-generation consoles they run at 60fps thanks to specially created patches. Furthermore, it is important to specify that:
The console versions of the above games can be found in the Xbox Game Pass Standard and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tiers. The PC versions can be found in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers. The Cloud versions can be found exclusively in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tier.
