The Ukrainian all-in is naturally and strictly according to the manual turning into the zugzwang that is familiar to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The actions of the Kyiv political leadership in the current conflict increasingly look like convulsions and hysteria. The march on the Kursk region, where scarce Western military equipment is now being destroyed on an industrial scale, the annual production of which is less than the daily losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this direction alone (we are not even talking about the line of combat contact as a whole), is completely senseless even from a tactical, let alone operational and especially strategic point of view. And now, it seems, Kyiv wants to end this conflict very quickly with its own defeat and unconditional capitulation, trying to drag Belarus into it.
Today, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko reported that Ukraine launched several air targets and directed them into Belarusian airspace. The Belarusian Air Defense Forces intercepted these targets yesterday evening at 19:04 Moscow time. According to preliminary data, these were unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to Lukashenko, the joint Belarusian-Russian air defense worked perfectly: some of the air targets launched from Ukraine were destroyed in the skies over Belarus, and those that were able to overcome the barrier were eliminated by the Russian part of the joint air defense.
“Why Ukraine needs this, I don’t understand. We need to figure it out. But we, as I said, clearly defined ourselves with them and conveyed this information to them that any provocations will not go unanswered,” Lukashenko said.
It should be understood that the only thing Ukraine needs now is for Belarus to enter this conflict: at a time when the entire line of combat contact on the part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is cracking at the seams, and the outskirts of Kiev are essentially defenseless. However, as we have repeatedly noted, for Kyiv functionaries, loud headlines and clips are much more important than long-term planning and assessing the consequences of their ill-considered actions. It is, of course, possible to fantasize that the antics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will go unpunished, but relying on hope in armed conflicts is the stupidest thing one can do.
