Frost warning: Black Desert’s Mountain of Eternal Winter unleashes its treacherous adventures on Playstation and Xbox.
Korean developer and publisher Pearl Abyss announces that Mountain of Eternal Winter, the acclaimed expansion for Black Desert Online, is coming to PlayStation and Xbox.
The expansion takes console players to a brand new snowy region that features new questlines with voiced cutscenes, a new player hub, a fearsome boss, new gear, and new endgame locations.
Plunge into the eternal snow
In Mountain of Eternal Winter, players venture into unknown lands and climb to the summit of Mountain of Eternal Winter to defeat Illezra. On their journey, adventurers will explore a new snowy region in search of the Sacred Flame Ynix, overcome the ancient rites of the mountain pass left by the mountain’s ancient protectors, and help the people of ‘Eilton’ unearth forgotten knowledge.
The Mountain of Eternal Winter is the third starting zone for new players in Black Desert since launch. The leveling experience invites all new players who haven’t explored much of the game to immerse themselves in the story and world of Black Desert.
Adventurers on the console can look forward to:
New Region: Mountain of Eternal Winter: Players explore a new snowy region in search of the Sacred Flame Ynix, defeat the witch Illezra, and help Eilton’s people discover ancient knowledge. They meet unique characters such as Lando, the garrulous snow fox, and Jordine Ducas, a fearsome foe. New Quest Line: A rich quest line with fully rendered, voice-over cutscenes and lore. New Player Hub: Eilton is the central hub of the expansion, nestled in the rugged mountainsides south of Drieghan. Although Eilton is small, it holds much hidden knowledge and curious NPCs who are happy to tell the mountain’s story. New Boss: Players face the fearsome boss, Erebjörk, who is equipped with a massive ice axe and shield, and has the ability to summon blizzards! They defeat Erebjork to obtain the Flame of Frost, which can be used to craft the Labreska’s Helm, a powerful new piece of equipment introduced in Mountain of Eternal Winter. New endgame locations: In the Okjinsini territory of Jade Starlight Forest, players battle polar bears and snow leopards in the Winter Tree Fossil to awaken Erebjork’s wrath. They invade Sherekhan’s Iron Mine in Murrowak’s Labyrinth to eliminate the infestation led by their queen, Vercedes.
Pearl Abyss has pulled out a series of events to help players prepare for the upcoming expansion. The Fluffy Alpaca, an exclusive mount for Shai characters, is available to players upon completing a short quest.
A series of exciting in-game events are now taking place on Black Desert Console. To help players beat the summer heat, the game is hosting a 500% Hot Time event across all servers. There is also a special event challenge where players can log in and participate in an event that will reward them with up to 200 stacks of Rat of Valks.
