XFX has announced the release of a new graphics card based on the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT processor, which was named Speedster SWFT 210, reports VideoCardz. This is already the seventh model in the RX 7800 XT series, which has grown to such an extent that it exceeds in number all the RX 7900 XT and 7900 XTX variants released by XFX combined, emphasizing the special attitude of the manufacturer to this series of video cards.
Despite the new name, the Speedster SWFT 210 retains the standard parameters of the original RX 7800 XT model. The new product features a dual-fan cooling system, as indicated by the number “2” in the model name. Although XFX’s naming system implies that the number “2” means a dual-slot configuration, and “3” means a triple-fan configuration, these numbers are not always related to the dimensions of the card. For example, the Speedster SWFT 210 is 28.3 cm long and 2.5 slots thick.
The Speedster SWFT 210 is equipped with the same GPU as the RX 7800 XT – Navi 32, which includes 3840 stream processors, 16 GB of GDDR6 memory, and a 256-bit memory bus. According to the manufacturer, the clock speeds will remain unchanged at 2124 MHz for gaming and 2430 MHz for boost mode.
The release of the new model is timed to coincide with the approaching anniversary of the launch of the RX 7800 XT series. At the same time, the market situation has changed over the past year. If initially the RX 7800 XT won over the RX 7700 XT in terms of price/performance, now, after the official price reduction of the RX 7700 XT to $419, the competition between the models has intensified.
The XFX Radeon RX 7800 XT Speedster SWFT 210 has already appeared on the Newegg online store listing for $489, but it is not yet available for order, as it is out of stock.
