With “Sid Meier’s Civilization 7,” the popular strategy series from Firaxis is entering the next round. In the current business report, Take-Two Interactive narrowed down the release period of the successor.
After a leak occurred prior to the event, 2K Games and Firaxis officially announced “Sid Meier’s Civilization 7” at the Summer Game Fest 2024.
Apart from the fact that the sequel offers various gameplay innovations that will allow you to “create the greatest empire in human history”, those responsible did not provide any further details. 2K Games also remained tight-lipped about the release date and only spoke of a release in 2025.
The current annual report from 2K Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive. In this, the release window of “Sid Meier’s Civilization 7” was further narrowed down.

But when can we expect the release of the sequel? According to Take-Two Interactive’s annual report, “Sid Meier’s Civilization 7” is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of the 2024/2025 fiscal year.
Specifically, this means that the publisher is aiming for a release between January 1 and March 31, 2025.
In the best case scenario, “Sid Meier’s Civilization 7” will be released early next year and the community won’t have to wait too long. Take-Two Interactive did not reveal a specific release date, but it could possibly be released this month.
As 2K Games recently confirmed, “Sid Meier’s Civilization 7” will be one of the titles that will be presented to us at the Opening Night Live event at Gamescom 2024.
Developers promise 20-minute deep dive
The gameplay reveal of Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 will take place at the Opening Night Live event. The event, hosted by Geoff Keighley (The Game Awards), will take place on Tuesday, August 20th from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
However, the developers are not leaving it at the unveiling in the run-up to Gamescom 2024.
Furthermore, 2K Games and Firaxis announced a detailed deep dive into the upcoming strategy title.
