While the Film world mourns the passing of Charles Cyphernews is bouncing around the internet of a collaboration between Horror Master John Carpenter and Boss Team Games studios to create a video game on Unreal Engine 5 based on the Halloween intellectual property.
The news was announced by the legendary American director and the software house that gave shape to the multiplayer horror Evil Dead The Game, now at the end of the line. John Carpenter explains that “I am a huge gamer and I am thrilled to help bring Michael Myers back to life in this title that, I hope, will scare the shit out of you! I promise you that I will be intimately involved in the development of this project”.
The Unreal Engine 5-style Halloween video game developed by Boss Team Games in collaboration with John Carpenter will make us relive the most terrifying moments of the 1978 film that gave rise to this iconic horror series. The development of this project is still in its early stages and will be part of a larger operation that will also include a second video game made with the contribution of Compass International Pictures and Further Front, also set in the slasher horror universe of Halloween.
Did you know that John Carpenter also dreams of developing a Big Trouble in Little China video game?
