We’re almost halfway through the month, which means Sony will soon reveal the lineup of PS4 and PS5 games that will be joining the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium library in August. Let’s see how long the announcement is scheduled for.
Sony is being schematic about the lineup of its subscription service, with the titles of the Extra and Premium tiers usually revealed the week after the launch of the “free” games of the Essential. Barring any surprises or unforeseen events, the date and time to circle on your calendar is Wednesday, August 14 at 5:30 p.m. Italian time.
When will PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium August games be available?
If the announcement happens as scheduled, the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games for August will be available starting on the morning of Tuesday, August 20, after the PlayStation Store update, which usually happens around 10:00 – 11:00.

There are no confirmed games from Sony at the moment, as they are keeping this month’s lineup very secret as usual. Sometimes, a partial or full list of upcoming titles is leaked in advance by reliable sources, such as billbil-kun. In that case, they will post all the details on our pages.
Also on August 20, 10 games will leave the Extra and Premium catalog, including Lost Judgment and Sea of Stars. So you have just over a week to play them through your subscription if you’re interested. As a reminder, the PlayStation Plus Essential games for August have been available since last Tuesday.
