The release of Hogwarts Legacy was a dream come true for many Harry Potter fans. Players were able to go to school at Hogwarts with their very own wizard and freely explore the open game world with towns like Hogsmeade. And it didn’t take long for the title to become a mega success for those responsible at Warner Bros. Games.
Just two weeks after its launch, Hogwarts Legacy had already sold over 12 million copies. Sales at that time were already around 850 million US dollars. But the hype surrounding the game continued after that! By the end of 2023, more than 22 million units had been sold. The world of Hogwarts Legacy offered pretty much everything fans wanted – but the title was ultimately missing one important thing.
Consolation for all fans? New Harry Potter game is coming!
Hogwarts Legacy has many activities for wizards – but the favorite sport, Quidditch, was not one of them. Although you could visit the famous field in the world, you couldn’t play a game. Warner Bros. will soon be launching an alternative called “Quidditch Champions.”
And just a few weeks before the release, developer Unbroken Studios is now giving us a fresh look at the gameplay of the sports title. The trailer introduces the three teams that will be taking part in the Triwizard Schools Quidditch Cup. These are the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, the Durmstrang Institute and the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. We have embedded the video below.

When is Quidditch Champions coming out?
The release of Quidditch Champions (buy now €39.99) is currently planned for September 3, 2024 digitally for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
