Indie Arena Booth brings its own app and vinyl record to Gamescom 2024.
At this year’s gamescom, the Indie Arena Booth will be bigger and more exciting than ever. With over 160 games spread across over 1,500 square meters, it might be hard to keep track – but don’t worry! The brand new, free Indie Arena Booth app is coming to the rescue!
The IAB app is much more than just an interactive exhibitor directory: It is its own multiplayer game that offers visitors the opportunity to win great prizes and Steam keys! Users create their own avatar and can scan over 100 hidden stickers at the Indie Arena Booth. This way they level up their avatar, unlock new skins and collect cool prizes. They can even scan friend codes with other users of the app and collect additional XP.
But that’s not all: One of the main prizes is the exclusive Indie Arena Booth Vinyl, created in collaboration with Black Screen Records. For the first time in the history of the world’s largest shared developer booth, there is a record with the hottest gaming tracks from the booth.
16 selected songs and one IAB main track called “Gaming Hell” by Mr. Kaschke and Jana Rengers were chosen from over 70 submissions to represent the sound of the Indie Arena Booth.
These include songs from games that are all about music, such as Fretless – the Wrath of Riffson or HyperCore. But there are also tracks that come from awesome soundtracks, such as Fruitbus or Constance, on the record.
When it comes to music, there are a lot of games at the Indie Arena Booth this year: Symphonia is a Metroidvania in which you jump through the levels to the sound of a symphony orchestra, Keylocker is a cyberpunk rhythm JRPG in which a rock band has to save the planet, and in ANTRO, packages are delivered to the sound of hip hop and electronic music.

The IAB app will be available for download from the beginning of next week. The IAB will be held in Hall 10.2 from August 21 to 25.
