Sega has announced that Sonic Generations will no longer be sold as a standalone title from September 9th. From then on, the title will only be available in bundles with other parts of the series for Xbox. However, re-downloading the game will not be a problem for owners of the game after that.
The reason for this is the upcoming release of Sonic X Shadow Generations for all current consoles. This will take place on October 25th.
Sonic Generations is available for PS3, Xbox 360 and 3DS.
