As part of the presentation of new devices on August 13, Google presented The Pixel 9 series comes with in-camera AI that helps you take and edit photos like a pro without any technical skills.
One of the key innovations is the “Add Me” function, which allows you to add a photographer to a group photo. The system scans the surroundings, takes a photo of the group, and then invites the photographer to take a place in the frame, creating the illusion that all participants are present at the same time.
The “Reimagine” feature in Magic Editor allows you to change the background of a photo using simple text queries. Users can, for example, turn a daytime photo into a nighttime one or add a UFO to the sky.
“Autoframe” is another AI-powered feature of Magic Editor. It analyzes the photo and suggests four cropping options, improving the composition of the photo. The feature can add “generated pixels” to the edges of the frame so that the subject is positioned according to the rule of thirds, or even suggest a vertical crop for an originally horizontal photo.
The long-awaited “Zoom Enhance” feature has finally arrived on the Pixel 9 lineup. It lets you zoom in on specific areas of a photo, generating extra pixels to sharpen the entire image.
Google also improved the Video Boost feature, making video processing twice as fast and adding support for a telephoto lens and up to 20x zoom. The system can now upscale video resolution to 8K.
In addition, the panoramic shooting function has been completely redesigned, integrating HDR+ and Night Sight technologies, and the image capture process has been changed.
A Google spokesperson said: “Our goal is to provide users with the most advanced photo and video tools, making the creative process as simple and intuitive as possible.”
