As the best digital PC gaming platform on the market today, Steam is admittedly far from perfect. Although there have been so many improvements and features that it has provided during its existence, which make it feel superior to existing competitors, there are still many things that need to be fixed. Just look at the tendency that occurs on the Trending games page every time a demo version of a popular game is released to the market. Still united in the same space, this makes new and paid games that should be the highlight there end up being pushed aside. Fortunately, that is no longer the case.
Steam officially introduced a new tab on their homepage called “Trending Free”. Simply put, this new tab will group all trending games that are distributed for free, including various demos that are now available on Steam. At the time of writing, the champion for this new tab is the benchmark tool from Black Myth: Wukong which has just been released. This decision certainly makes Steam much tidier for the Trending page, especially for gamers who are looking for paid/premium games that are currently popular.
Steam now has a “Trending Free” tab.
The execution steps for this feature that gamers have been asking for for quite some time are certainly worth welcoming with open arms. What about you? What other features would you like to see on Steam?
