In the United States, the service is available in only two locations.
In its historical homeland, the Internet retail giant Amazon has not only long been experimenting with airborne delivery of goods using unmanned aerial vehicles, but also attracts media personalities like Jeremy Clarkson to advertise its specialized services. However, in the latter’s homeland of Great Britain, as noted by CNBCAmazon only recently won the right to test a delivery service using unmanned vehicles.

In addition to Amazon, six other organizations received the corresponding permission from British regulators, so the Internet giant did not find itself in a privileged position from this point of view. According to the source, the conditions of the experiments allow the use of drones at fairly long distances, excluding the direct visibility of the aircraft by its operator along the entire route. This means that the operator will be guided by data received from onboard cameras and sensors. Among other things, the situation with drones recognizing each other during the flight will be worked out. In the United States, the Prime Air drone delivery service operates in two cities in Texas and California, respectively, its expansion is currently limited by regulatory restrictions.
