11 administrative and household buildings will undergo reconstruction.
Behind closed doors of the board of directors of Kazanorgsintez turned around discussion of ambitious investment programs aimed at modernization and expansion of production. As it became known to the publication “BUSINESS Online”, the key topics were the completion of the reconstruction of polyethylene production and the construction of its own combined-cycle plant.
As part of a large-scale modernization program, Kazanorgsintez is investing 8.5 billion rubles in the reconstruction of 11 administrative and household buildings. The first renovated complex has already opened its doors to employees of three production facilities. Comfortable working conditions have been created here, including bus stops equipped with infrared heating, solar panels on the roof of the building, and charging stations for electric vehicles. An ESM device for electronic medical examination has been installed inside the building.
A significant increase in production capacity is expected after the completion of the reconstruction of the polymerization process line (reactor “B”) at the polyethylene production facility. This project, the progress of which, according to KOS Chief Engineer Rustem Muzafarov, exceeds 98.9%, is planned to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024. The launch of reactor “B” will increase polyethylene production by 20%. The raw material for production will be ethylene from the EP-600 complex of Nizhnekamskneftekhim, where commissioning work is currently underway.
Kazanorgsintez is not only increasing production volumes, but also expanding the range of products it produces. Over the past year, the company has developed and launched into production five new grades of polyethylene and three grades of polycarbonate, which are in demand in such industries as automotive and agriculture.
Another strategic project is the construction of a combined-cycle plant (CCP-250). To date, the work has been completed by more than 75%, and all the main process equipment has already been delivered to the site. Completion of this project, which can be compared to the creation of the enterprise’s own “energy artery”, will provide Kazanorgsintez with independent energy generation.
